Hillerød is the administrative centre of the Danish Capital Regional. Hillerød has grown from a town to the unrivalled centre of the Capital Region. Hillerød is a middle-sized municipality with 47.000 inhabitants, placed 30 minutes drive from Copenhagen.

Hillerød participates in many international projects, as I believe it is important for a municipality to look and learn from others.
